Good pop good sound This bar has good pop and a larger than normal sweet spot. My son had a great tournament the first time he used it. We think the Alpha will perform as well as the Beast if not better. Our 14u team hasn??t been outside with it yet but indoors it works, looks and sounds great so far. Kids are excited to see what it does. My son had played 5 total games out of 55 due to injuries last season and didn??t get to use his bat much. The rest of the team did towards the end of the season. We broke about 6 bats and the Beast was then passed around at this point. All the kids loved it and it was dented but didn??t stop the bombs from coming. Just sayin that all the bats we broke were all top end bats. I had no problems buying the Alpha 360 -5 this upcoming 2021 season.
Side note....son has used a few S2, S3??s, a Beast and now Alpha...all these Easton bats have been great. Broke a couple S2??s in half because of the two piece but they stopped making those. Looking at the Maxum and Adv bbcor now. Toss up really. He hits hard and drops bombs with Easton. Good luck. Hope this helped. This is the bat I hit my first bomb with I have used the 31"-8 virsion of this bat and it ha performed extremely well Everything??s good about it This bat is great all the way around. My son loved it, he says it??s better then the cat 9 connect.,
